Pyra staggers back, but she seems a bit sturdier. "Monsters aren't like people, you can't assassinate them. They are too big, and too strong." She says before rushing Pete down and tackling him with her shoulder to knock him off his feet.

The hobgoblin falls back, then in a flash of brilliance (for a hobgoblin I mean), he scoops up some nearby sand, tossing it into Pyra's eyes.

Cia gets to her feet, taking Maka's hand and trying to pull him up. "Easy now..." She says, then turns to Pyra. "Well, that's stating the obvious."

Pyra yowls and leaps back, rubbing the sand out of her eyes."You know, you can attack the damn thing!" She growls in frustration.

"I'm trying to help Maka!" She says, and once shes sure Maka can stand, she leaps at the Hobgoblin's back, sinking her blade into it.

With a groan Serena sits up. She doesn't look like she'll get to her feet anytime soon but at least she's awake and moving. A good sign considering how powerful the attack combo she was hit with was. Still her eyes don't have full focus as she blinks a few times in confusion.

Maka drags himself away from the goblin as it lashes out at Pyra and Cia, trying the same sand trick on Cia. The little mage hurries over to Serena, and begins to heal her wounds, to get her back into the fray for now.

Cia winces, trying to shield her face with her free wing.

"What hit me...?" Serena asks as her wounds heal. The poor Sylveon in some shock still though the healing helps a great deal. Her eyes getting their focus back.

Dez rushed over to Jyrus and reached for her magic stick."give it back its mine!" >_<


Pyra on the other hand let's out a growl as she gets the sand out of her eyes, using the blade part of her great sword she uppercuts the hobgoblin in combo with CIA's attack.

The CIA's attack oh god XD

"Last thing we need is you screwing around with us."
He hold it with both hands now.
"You try anything funny and I WILL break this thing."

"The crazy lady did some crazy combo and knocked you out." he says, pulling Serena back up.

Said goblin takes these blows, just about dead at this point as it weakly strikes back with its club, the weapon bouncing off the flat of Pyra's sword.

Dez-" >_> It's my, I'll kick your butt if you do." She says snapping and casting Haste on Pete."Real mages don't need staffs!"

Pyra attempts to ram her arm into the hobgoblin's chest, gripping into the soul inside and starting to pull it out.

"Well you won't be needing this then right? Do one more dumb thing."

She growls and punched his chest.";-; ow! Ow that hurt! Gimme my staff back!" She barks at him before hitting his arm.

"I don''t like the one that gets caught off guard." She says getting to her feet. "Thanks for healing me. I really don't think she's on our side though."

This knocks the staff out of his hand but if falls behind him.
"I'd say you can have it back if you promise to stop messing around but I don't think I'd believe you."
He start to head towards it while still facing her to keep her away.

Cia continues to stab at it. "Why won't you just go down!"

Finally, Pete succumbs to Pyra's Soul Yank and all the stabbings, despite the Haste spell, and he falls over, dead.

"I think she's just messing with us." Maka says, still believing that the crazy fox lady isn't actually bad, just...different. ._.

Pyra pants, reaching up and running her eyes, still trying to get the dirt out. Her free hand holding the soul, which is inky black."there...that was more troublesome..."

Dez is refusing to let go, she stays latched onto his arm with her teeth.

"We got it...phew..." Cia mutters, panting a bit, before heading back over to Maka. "Are you alright?"

Jyrus was quite annoyed now he quite angry. He slams her to the ground and puts his full weight on her. He then uses one of his phantom claws to retrieve the staff and places it right next to her.
"I don't care what you were trying to do, you could have gotten us killed. Try that shit again and I will personally pull out more than just your soul."
He gets back up, placing his foot on her chest while pulling back is captured arm, freeing it, yet it bleeds quite profusely.
"If that's all, we're done here."
He starts to head back to town. Doesn't seem like he takes potential fratricide lightly.

Dez hops back up and shakes herself off."Yeah well you guys are a bunch off butts!" She yells waving her staff at them. "These guys are feisty. I'm going to keep them around....little bird thing! Here take this!" She says throwing a scroll to the boy before skipping off.

Pyra-"I'm very sorry guys, I had no idea she would do that. I'll buy everyone dinner to make up for it!" She says bowing.

Maka catches the scroll, a blank expression across his face. He shrugs it off, and nods to everybody.
"I'm okay Miss Cia...And it's okay, really Miss Pyra. But what's this scroll she gave me?"

"A spell scroll I think." She says sheathing her weapon and watches the Delphox skip off, humming.

He opens it slowly, curiously looking into it.
