"Hey? Might want to cast haste now, I don't think they'll just want the treasure..." She says resting her blade on her shoulder and glancing behind Maka.

Jyrus tries to position himself in the front, between them and the pirates.

A magic circle surrounds the party, as the mage's newfound time magic kicks in.

Several fireballs are launched by mages on the opposite boats, slamming into theirs and throwing Pyra off balanced.

The close ranged fighters rush towards the group, targeting the Mage first.

Now moving faster Serena heads for the nearest pirate slashing at him before jumping back out ob the range of his weapon. Of course this causes the others who have boarded their ships to rush them.

With a yelp, Maka jumps backwards away from the rushing pirates, and drops a Fire where he was standing, which bursts into flames.

Serena glances over her eyes going wide as she searches for something to throw on the fire. "What are you thinking?! You're gonna burn the ship down!"

"I-I'll put it out! Dammit, focus on the fight!" Maka screams back, before tossing a Water spell at his mistake. >_<

"The ship is already on fire! Don't worry about it!" She says, her clothes shining before shifting to a more revealing set, a bow in her hands."Focus on the ones on the ship. Maka, launch retaliations or cast a slow spell!"

Maka finds himself staring at the lioness for a moment, then snaps his attention back to the battle with a little cough.
"R-right!"
Taking aim at the enemy ship, the mage prepares himself by taking a deep breath, and starting to concentrate...

Jyrus activates his plasma aura and pulls some of the pirates away from the others with his phantom claws.

Gulping and looking somewhat scared now that the ship is on fire Serena dodges an attack and slices at a pirate's leg deciding to aim for crippling them so its easier for everyone else. I really wish I hadn't left my bow in my cabin! I could really take these guys out with it."

Pyra pulls the string back on the bow and begins launching arrows at the Pirates on the boat to the left of them. Missing some and hitting some.


She winces as one of the arrows plucks a guy in his junk."I-I'm sorry I'm new to the bow!"

As he clears his mind of doubts, the little bird mage gathers his power, aiming for the boat opposite of them, and launches a large fireball their way, striking the hull just outside their engine room, where all the vitals of the vessel would be at.

Serena's eyes widen. "I'll trade my daggers for the bow Pyra!" The Sylveon calls shocked at how bad the lioness's aim was and fearing for their own safety.

She gets a rain cloud and tosses the bow over, taking the daggers.

The mages onboard said ship launch their own assault back at Maka, one of them starting to intone a repair spell to fix the ship before it sinks or take more damage.

Meanwhile, of the Pirates come rushing the little bird boy down, tackling him.

Jyrus hold a few of the pirates down so that Serena can get a clear shot.
