Hearing the girl's comment, Cas (who is still standing at the top of the stairs) hesitantly looks behind her...

"We should hide." Maka warns, and Abella is the first to go, scrambling into her toy chest. x-x

"I don't understand..." Cia says.

Kite grabs the others and pulls them into the hatch Cia and Serena came out of. He leaps up, tail between his legs.


The door opens and in comes a familiar and unwanted face of the running politician of Elusyian. Maka's father walks over to the girl."Where are they...?"

Cas watches in silence, her neutral half-smile fading into a definitive scowl. She glances towards the others who are hiding with her as if to ask, "What's this guy doing here...?".

"Who papa?" The girl asks quietly

"Don't. Lie. To. Me." The pidgeot says raising his hand up to smack her.

Cas' eyes widen a bit at this. It's pretty obvious that she's getting ready to jump out of her hiding place if no one stops her...

She flinches away from him. She clearly not wanting to get hit by her angry father.

Cia does notice Cas, and shakes her head slowly. 'Don't blow it...

Maka seems to be jutting forward, his grip tightening on the blade he recently received...He could easily leap and take his head off, right? Or fry the bird with a spell...

The Absol just grits her teeth and casts an aside glance to Cia.
"I have to do something," is what she's clearly thinking. She knows she can't take this guy, but maybe it would help this kid avoid a beating anyways...?
Not being interested in fighting...
Not finding reason in effort...
Or is that just a poor excuse not to give it my all?
...
No.
Despite everything, Cas was still a fighter.


Reaching one hand into her pocket, she prepared to leap into action.

And there's a slap sound as the bird connects the slap to the young child's face.


Kite simply balls his fist up, clenching the handles inside his first weapon.

The sound is followed up by a resonating THUD as an upset-looking Cas bursts out from her hiding spot in the hatch, drawing her weapon before she even lands. With a few quick swipes through the air, the staff changes shape into a more pointed, spear-scythe-like weapon - and unleashes a quick blast of energy in the form of a Razor Wind. The cluster of glowing dart-like shapes find their mark on the Pidgeot's side, not meant to do a ton of damage (they actually do pathetic damage, though there's a LOT of them) - but instead to knock him away from the girl.

The Absol doesn't say anything, she just watches him carefully.

Cia quickly slips out, dagger drawn as she stands next to Cas. "...Seems we're capitalizing on this option then..."

"Fine by me."
Maka is the next one out, immediately leaping at the Pidgeot with hate in his eyes, sword aimed right for his neck.

And it's at this point that Father reaches up and grabs the blade as it comes at him. "I figured it was you. Can't stop interfering with my plans can you?" He asks glaring at him, his leg coming up and kicking the archeops down into the ground. Wielding Maka's weapon he swings it, sending a large beam of energy into the others rushing at him.

Cia jumps to the side, pulling Maka out of the way while helping him up after she lands. "...Alright, time to take this fool down."

Cas leaps out of the way of the beam, avoiding it just in time - though it does force her to cancel the attack she was preparing. She's still silent, and just start to charge up another attack - the scythe end of her weapon starts to take on a purple glow.

Not even bothering to respond, he breaks into a rolling stab at the powerful sage.

The small bird holds holds her stuffed houndoom close sniffing and crying from the slap. It having hurt like one would expect.

Father simply sidesteps Maka's attack before kneeing him in the jaw. There's a click as the spell finishes charging."I have no use for you anymore, begone!"

Cas growls quietly and lunges, swinging her blade again - if it were to hit the Pidgeot it would barely nick him, but that would still be enough to transfer the sickly purple glow and lingering poison effect of a Toxic.

Cia uses the others distraction to slip in and attempt to deliver a slash with her dagger down low, aimed for the belly.

As he vaults into the wall, he gets back up, and gives the handle of his weapon a twist; It shimmers with a power, before he launches a slicing wave at the bird.

And that's when the magic spell sends out a wave of energy. Clashing into everyone's souls before exploding outword, dealing an incredible amount of damage in such a short moment. Their attacks did connect though, as he has a gash in his stomach and the poison from the other attack starts to kick in.


Kite is knocked unconscious.
