"Yea, the same could be said of your blade." he says, twisting it about form hand to hand.

She looks up at the orb on the staff. "...So how does one channel magic?"

"Well...that depends on the magic itself. When I want to heal others, I focus on the happy times in my life, and focus on those I would heal. When I want to cast fire, or ice spells, I simply think of the element in question and focus as well."

"Ah, interesting..."

She tries to think of ice, and tries to channel an ice spell.

Nothing seems to happen at first...but the end of the staff does begin to fizzle.

She continues to focus.

This time, it sparks, and frost covers her fingertips.

"W-woah! Maka, look!" She exclaims.

He watches, almost in awe.
"Well, look at that...You're already channeling some magic....You've been magic-capable for some time, from the looks of it too." ^_^
He focuses some of his own ice into his hands, holding a small snowball.
"Don't force it as much, and instead let that feeling flow through your body. Let it fill your hands, like you were before, and through the staff."

She attempts to do so, following Maka's advice. "Okay, I can do this..."

He watches eagerly, wanred to see if she could do it...

She soon channels an icy ball, and fires it at the ground, freezing a small part ofit.

"Wow Miss Cia, you're a natural!" Maka praises, watching the spot where the ground froze

"Oh my! I can cast magic!" She exclaims happily.

Maka laughs happily.
"Wow Cia, you've never used magic before, but look at you!"
He then gently plops his soft snowball atop her head.

She giggles, and tries again to channel more ice.

It comes more and more easily, the more she does it.

"Wow....I'm catching on." She says surprisingly.

Kite takes whatever on frozen ingredients and begins mixing things around in a stew.

"Try some fire." Maka suggests, glancing Kite's direction with a little wave.

She nods, and begins to think of fire.

Before long, it begins to form, right in her hand.

"Woah! Fire!" She exclaims once again. She was surprised in herself.

Maka's jaw sort of drops a little.
"Are you sure you've never used magic before...?"

"I never have...I was an assassin."

"Well, I'm pleased to say that you're catching on far faster than I ever did..."
