Gene looks over at Cecil.
"He was acting kind of weird..."

"Eh, we got used to it. So can you."

Rylie gathers her things and makes her way to the forges... After she catches the Charizard and drags him along
"Come on.... Let's take a look at that blade of yours."
Her attitude is completely different now

This shakes Cain out of his thoughts.
"Huh?...Oh yeah. Let's do that."

She leads him to the forges

"Alright then girl. Let's see what you can do."
He hands his sword over.

Lucure just lets off another snore before Gene can respond. She'll have to be carried, or left here for now...

Cecil picks Lucure up. "I got you..."

Gene flutters onto her brother's shoulder.
"So, where are we going then?"

"I'd like to browse the local stores for food. perhaps a new weapon for Lux."

"Oh! Let's bring him along, he might like the company!...I worry about him, brother. It's mostly Caliber that speaks with him nowadays."

"Lux has always been reserved."

"I know...Still though. Let's pick him out a nice sword."

"Very well. I'll continue to use my rapier, or Caliber."

"Speaking of Caliber...How come he suddenly allowed you to wield him brother? I thought he chose Lux?"

"I...do not know. Id have to ask."

"It has been on my mind for a while, but since you've been taking care of business, I didn't ask."

Rylie takes the blade and handles is effortlessly. She holds it up and expects it closely
"Not bad craftsmanship.... Main flaw is one edge is heavier than the other. Not by much though."

"I figure Caliber can choose its wielder."

"Perhaps..."
Gene goes quiet, as she has for most of the trip.

"Sis...speak your mind."

"I'm just wondering...I'm almost sure Caliber refused to let Lucure hold him once he bonded to Lux, but suddenly, he lets you use him....I don't know what it means, but I can't help but feel anxious, Cecil."

"Anxious? But why?"

"I...don't trust him." she says, looking around a little. "His story is a bit spotty, too. About him being a regular church boy, and being accepted into the old king's army? In our history books, it shows that they were either drafted, or hand-picked. There's no way he could have just fought his way in."
She pauses.
"I know I hid in the bag for a long while, but, a lot of the time, I was awake, and listening."

"Oh...I see. Well...I wouldn't want to be suspicious of him. We've come this far."

She slowly nods.
"I'm keeping my eye on him."
