New Icon Things

Okay, so, everyone see those stars by my username?

What say we start giving custom stuff to people to put there?

It doesn't even have to be limited to stars really, just any icon that's small enough to fit in that space. But there has to be a theme we all agree on. Shapes. Pokemon sprites. Et cetera, but while they should be customizeable I say we need to keep some sort of theme to them.

ONE/ONLY DOWNSIDE:
We will have to assign EVERYONE their own custom title. This actually isn't that hard, and allows for even more unique options - for example, I'm a "Co-Owner". ZLH is a "Guardian". These are just titles though, technically I think we're both in the Webmaster group or... something like that.

SO IN A NUTSHELL

-Everyone gets a custom title. If they want one. Otherwise they can keep their default title, no one's stopping you from doing that. It's all just names anyways, so there won't be any fancy permission changes - and, as such, I'd highly advise asking for a title that reads "Admin" if you do not have Admin powers (or vice versa, I'm not going to give myself the "Newbie" title for example, that's just confusing).
-Let's all vote on a custom icon thing, because it's not like I already have a big enough workload as it is, because what matters is pleasing people and not actually sleeping
-Buy gold(?)

I wouldn't mind such an idea as long as ranks are well defined at the same time, just so there's no confusion (not like it matters really, but its nice to stay organized).

Considering Myself, Amanda and Justin are the Webmasters here (clarifying since you neglected to mention me) if we each had our own rank but had full Admin powers, then I'd want to make sure in the rank legend for perhaps color or rank icon it shows Admin for whatever custom rank is called. An example being Justin's Guardian has 5 stars, equivalent to Amanda and I's rank.

Pretty much what you said but reiterating my concerns for that. So far the only way we've kept rank Legend in check was the amount of stars. Well need this or something similar if we go down this path.

I'm down for this. But, if I'm listed as an Admin, why do I have no powers at all? I see no kind of panel or anything. Then again, that doesn't matter to me, I'm fine just being a member, seeing as this place is so small, and if some kind of admin related situation came up, there are three of you. It just bothers me seeing that empty rank name up there.

I think you ended up getting moved to another group without admin powers (or only some. You do have 4 stars.)

But I honestly don't know who's been screwing with ranks and such lately. Either Ty, Amanda, or Justin. I'd ask them.

Admins have never been able to see the CP, that's just a Webmaster thing. To my knowledge none of us have ever messed with that. You do, however, still have powers such as editing/deleting/viewing threads marked 'admin'/et cetera. I'm fairly certain of it. If you don't/can't then there's an issue, because that's at least how it's -supposed- to work.

Anyways, I'm trying to get people's opinions on icons here. So far I've heard reinforcement of the current concept we have going, and then a bit of confusion about how the ranks actually work, which isn't something that should probably be discussed in this particular topic. If there are problems, please do bring it up in a thread which was made for expressing the fact that there are problems. And then we can deal with the problems. ._.

Otherwise, ideas? Keep shapes/colors basic? Go for Pokemon team sprites? Anyone have a new idea they have to suggest? Just trying to keep this on track here.
