Zarik appears in front of her.... looking down at the ninetales

She growls weakly, firing a small ember at him.

it hits him and he just kneels beside her. unharmed

She sits up, and growls, before snapping at him and backing up some.

he is unflinching... and she backs into some rubble
"the offer is still on the table..."

I will never be controlled or be captive by the likes of you. she says coldly.

"and why is that...?"
his attack is still in hand... a small aura sphere that radiates a massive amount of energy

"you say my sword is drawn but look at it... it takes time for my body to reabsorb the aura...."
sure enough the energy is fading... albeit slowly do to its condensed form and sheer volume
"and not one of my family feels like they are being kept against their will..."

"then you have a cruel life ahead of you in a lab as an experiment if i was to take a guess..."
he looks over his shoulder in the general direction of the rest of the group
"i don't know where i am but my instincts overpower my fear of the unknown... all i'm trying to do is help..."

Experiment...highly unlikely. she scoffs.

"then i guess i'll leave and let them have you..."

She turns silent at this, thinking it over, and looking at the destroyed city.

he starts to stand back up

he looks at her
"yes?"

"there is no need to submit... just a need for home and safety..."
he pulls out a ball and holds it out for her

She stares at it, as this device is new to her.

"just touch the center button to activate it"

She tentatively reaches forward, and pushes the button.

it opens and pulls her in... it doesn't even shake once and locks.

it is paradise in the ball... well whatever she thinks paradise is

-Mac and Henry were sitting at a table in the lab having a conversation, there gestures and facial expressions revealed that, whatever the topic was, it was heavy
Mac- "Well thank you for coming clean with me, eventually"
Henry- "Now that you have your information what will you do with it?"
Mac- "I'll wall off that section of the underground, I have plenty of room without it"
Henry- "hmm yes, next time you decide to excavate additional work space please at the very least inform us"
Mac- -Snapped back "if you didn't insist on keeping secrets I wouldn't have to"
-just then Brandon's words echoed through the mansion
Henry- -stood up "I'm sorry sir but it seems I must be going" -then he ran out of the room
Mac- sat there thinking for a bit before SophE appeared
SophE- "What do you actually have planned?" -she spoke knowingly
Mac- "Oh I'm going to tamper with it like there's no tomorrow, they're wouldn't get by without me"
SophE -chuckled "I thought so"
Mac- "How goes the fight?"
SophE- -Footage of Zarik's doings appear where she was "As you can see, it's wrapping up about as nicely as we could have hoped"
Mac- "You say that but I'm not gonna sleep soundly until I know that "thing" is properly disposed of"


Gallade- -Pushed himself back up, his back now covered in fresh scrapes and bruises and with some effort made his way back around a few buildings where he found Gardevoir. She laid there on the concrete clutching her head as blood flowed from her nose. He reached down and tenderly picked her up You shouldn't have blocked that attack
Gardevoir- If I hadn't where would you be?

Blaziken- -Stood at a high vantage point, surveying the wrecked city. Something black caught his eye and he looked over to see a familiar little floating Umbreaon, spinning uncontrollably. He hopped from building to building, slid down the one nearest to her and stopped his descent on a windowsill before reaching out and stopping her movement by grabbing her ears

Mudkip- -Was worriedly digging around the area where Machamp was
Machamp- -His head popped out of the ground "Don't worry little buddy, I'm fit as a pokefiddle" -He continued to work his way out of the ground with the help of Mudkip
Mudkip- -When Machamp's upper arms came out of the ground, Mudkip stopped, concern on her face and nudged his scorched arms
Machamp- "Oh! You don't need to worry yourself about that, it'll heal nicely I'm sure" -He said smiling, but when he tried to pull himself up further the pain made him stop. Nidoking and Nidoqueen came up in either side of him and pulled him up the rest of the way

-The trainer had walked over near Zarik and was leaning against a building watching what was going on

Zarik looks at the trainer out of the corner of his eye... then vanishes on site

"hey ow what the heck are you doing, those are my ears!" The little umbreon who was now floating there upside down stared at the blaziken in a rather annoyed fashion. But then suddenly she noticed she wasn't spinning anymore, "oh my gosh you saved me," the umbreon was over joyed by this, "that makes you my hero... I think," and so the umbreon floated there upside down and lightly tapped her paws together happily when something very important occurred to her and so she had to ask, "by the way do you think I'm a flying type pokemon?"
