Guardians: The Guardian Kitsune War

Within hours, the ship lands near their objective and Gladius stands up. "Alright people, let's do this."

"Yes....Um, I suppose Scarlet and I should get changed...."

Scarlet walks out of the bathroom.. when did she go in there? Already dressed up and ready to go. "Just you need to" She says all chipper

Gladius chuckles. "Better get going, Ixi. We got a mission to complete."

Blans decides to step out first.
"Good, plenty of people around, hopefully some of mine too."

"I...what? Oh, fine. Scarlet, come help me." she adds at the end, kind of embarrassed. >.>

She chuckles. "Sure come on we'll meet the rest of you in a just a minute."

Scarlet is tugged away by Ix, who dashes off to get changed.

"Now this will only take a few minutes." She says with a grin closing the door grabbing makeup the outfit and other items with a grin.

Mini time skip?

Yup.

Soon enough, the group assume their positions.

Something is wrong with this scene though...the attendees don't seem right...they ignore them for the most party. Every so often they shimmer...

"Wait a minute this isn't right... I think something is very, very wrong." She whispers to IX noticing this as she glances around

Gladius does his dealing, heading a blackjack table. "Hmmhmmhmm..."

Ix mumbles to herself, something about heels being too restrictive, but looks to Scarlet.
"Excuse me?"

"Have you notice they''re not really paying attention to use?"

"I thought it was because I kept pulling this dress down..." she mutters, tugging the rather short dress down some more. >_>

The people of the party shimmer again. The people at the card tables aren't paying attention to the dealt cards either...

Gladius tilts his head. "Your bet?"

"No something is really off here and I'm un-easy, very uneasy." She says going back to what she was going taking note of anyone who isn't shimmering.

The holograms soon spaz out before shutting off. Leaving the four of them in a big empty hall. With all the talking and holograms gone, there's nothing but a silent ballroom...and a faint ticking noise coming from behind a nearby door.

"It's a trap..." Gladius whispers.

"Well, shit." Ix says, kicking a table over and getting behind it for cover.

"She set us up!" Scarlet cries out diving behind the table. There's a click as a mass of magic energy begins getting drawn from the air towards the closet. The device soon exploding and sending a payload of ice magic spreading outwards...freezing the entirety of the planet and leaving it in a perpetual ice age.

Gladius takes cover too, his shoes slipping off as he does, but to no avail...

The huge gust of icy wind blows his fedora off he quickly covers his head but his mandibled mouth can be seen for a split second. Soon a new green helmet, less ornate and more advanced looking covers his head. Surely that's not regular tech. Unfortunately he was caught right in the middle with no cover and he makes a huge effort to stand his ground and protect himself with some kind of barrier which slowly spreads from in front of him to all around him.

" I had a feeling it was a trap when I first noticed there was something off!" Scarlet growls having out up magic around herself and the others, a fire magic bubble to be exact. "I think we found our mole... that also means that Alumia could be in some big trouble! We need to contact the ark pronto."
