"Well, I'm pleased to say that you're catching on far faster than I ever did..."

"Really?" she asks surprised.

He nods.
"Yup!"

"Well, why don't you try the dagger."

He blinks once, then remenbers he has her weapon.
"Oh, right!...Uh, what's the best way to use it...?"
He tries a variety of ways to hold it, such as holding it normally, reverse grip, underhanded as if he's gonna stab forward, so on.

"I usually hold it normally...makes it easier to parry and deflect, but it's a better concealed weapon. Don't expect to deflect a two-handed sword or axe."

"Hey kite do you need some help with anything? Least I can do since I caused you trouble."

Abella is next to Kite, tossing salt into the stew as well.

Maka looks it over, then nods gently.
"Right..."
He swings a thin air a few times. He won't be winning any awards for amazing swordsmanship, but its a start.

"Not bad. The thing about daggers is you need to be quick and precise...they're better at stabbing than slashing."

With a nod, he tries her suggestion, and jabs at the air

"there you go." She praises.

With a grin, he swings it around a little more.
"Feels a bit light for me, though....Maybe I'll try a sword if I get my hands on one."

"The idea is it's easy to conceal...but if you're not concerned with that, than a sword will help."

He nods.
"Okay, sounds good to me!"

Cia grins and hands the staff back. "Here you are."

And he offers her dagger back to her, completing the trade.
"Once I get myself a weapon for myself, I'll come back to you." ^_^

"Oh, of course." She says

"In the meanwhile, I think Kite is making some dinner."

"Lets join him then and eat up." She says smiling and taking his hand.

Taking her hand, he happily hops back towards the others.

She takes a seat near Kite, sitting crosslegged. "Ah, smells good."

Abella tosses some more salt in.
"Should be done soon. I hope."

Cia pats her lap for Abella.

The Snivy gently sits in it, glancing up at her.

Cia strokes her head.

The snake is about to protest, then leans back against the Noivern's body. +_+
