"Hm...that can't be good. Is it hostile?"

"Show me!" Lucure barks, heading to the front of the ship.

"I'm going to guess that it is. Something big to burn down."

Rylie grabs the smeargle and jumps to the crows nest

With a short yelp, Lucure prys herself free as they reach the top, snatching the sightglass from the nearby Erin's paws, looking off in the distance. Caliber waits patiently, eye narrowed as he stares at the ship in the distance.

It is a massive galleon. One that should be familiar to the smeargle. But sitting on the very front of the deck is a pure white Espeon with a red jewel on her head, her tail is swaying as if she is humming to herself. The same one they met earlier in their journey. Tied to the mast is an older looking Slurpuff

Lucure's only reaction is to put the telescope back in Erin's paw.
"..."
"Lucure..."
"I know Erin." She replies simply, before sliding down onto the deck.
"Raise the white flag!" She shouts at a nearby sailor as she steps back up to the steering wheel.

The galleon just continues approaching the port

Rylie jumps back down and lands lightly
"So... Bad news then I take it..."

"That little shithead has Kodeus." She growls, using unusually foul language, at least for her. Not to mention, as she leans on the wheel, waiting for the wind to catch, she taps her fingers against the hilt of her blade.

Cecil stands by Lucure, frowning. "That...can't be good." He says softly, claw on the hilt of his rapier.

the ship pulls into port and the Espeon casually jumps on over
E-"Hi~"

Erin stands behind Lucure, slowly peeking out from behind her as the Smeargle approaches, stopping before her.
"Where is he?"

Cecil is next to her, not looking too happy.

E-"going straight to business i see~ Very well."
and at that a Dewott with two seamitars hanging from his waist comes aboard... the same Dewott from Mauville
D-"You have something that belongs to me, Lucy..."

Rylie looks displeased as she gazes at the blades

"Whatever do you mean?" she replies, glaring at the Dewott. "I've never stolen from you, munchkin."
Erin slowly steps to her side as well, looking towards Ruby. Her ears are folded back submissively.

D-"you know what i mean, Lucy"

the Espeon is just sitting the with an unusual cheerful expression on her face

She crosses her arms.
"Why does the egg matter so damn much? You had it illegally within the kingdom's borders. You knew the risk you were taking. If anything, you're lucky that Lux didn't arrest you on the spot."

LUx stands behind the two, arms crossed, but stays silent. Cecil turns to Lucure. "So this is about that egg we picked up earlier when we started our journey?"

He just sneers
"I will be taking it back. By force," he puts a hand on one of the blades. "Or by trade" he motions to the slurpuff

"How about these choices? You can either fuck off or you can fuck off."
Cain stand in the front. Ready to be a meaty shield if needed.

Cecil frowns. "Cain, let's try diplomacy before we go straight for trying to pick a fight." He advises.

"Oh fine...boring." He does stand down though.

Lucure stands before the Dewott, staring directly into his eyes.
"Kenshin. If you don't tell me what's in the damn egg, I might just crush the stupid thing! Why does it matter so much!? Why do you have Kodeus, and his ship!?"

"And why should I tell you? It's not like anyone can take me on since I had these blades made by the best smith in Sinnoh"

Rylie narrows her eyes

Finally, Caliber joins in, hopping down from the crow's nest, and sticking into the wood behind Cecil and Lucure.
'And what is the worth of a blade to you, young captain?' he questions. 'Do they make up for your lack of skill? Lack of self-belief? A man that openly states that he relies on his own weapons is both a failure and a weakling in my eyes. It takes more than that to be truly indomitable.'

"Hah. You're damn right Caliber."
